November 22, 2017 Leslie Klinchuch with Chevron Corporation presented a check to Santa Clara Elementary for $1,000 to support the Music in the Classroom program. The program helps students K-6 by assisting with bringing a music teacher to the classrooms to teach appreciation and understanding of music for students, instrument instruction, and more.

August 16, 2017 Leslie Klinchuch with Chevron Corporation presented a $2,000 donation check to Martha Gentry of the Fillmore Historical Museum for the March 2018 commemoration of the 90th anniversary of the St. Francis Dam disaster. The donation will be used to pay for displays and programs related to the anniversary.

November 22, 2016 Leslie Klinchuch from Chevron Corporation recently presented a grant to Rancho Camulos Museum’s Director, Dr. Susan Falck. The museum is a 40 acre National Historic Landmark, situated within an 1800 acre working ranch in Piru, California.

September 22, 2016 Leslie Klinchuch from Chevron Corporation recently presented the Fillmore Fire Foundation with a $2,000 donation to support the Fillmore Fire Department with both its educational and equipment needs. One of Chevron’s core values is to benefit local communities by providing funds for local charitable contributions.

September 12, 2016 Leslie Klinchuch from Chevron Corporation recently presented a $5,000 check to Buddy Escoto, Site Director for the Fillmore site of the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley. The funds will be used to continue the high quality STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and math) programs being implemented at the Boys & Girls Club.

March 2, 2016 AECOM Lead Engineer and Eagle Scout Zachary Gautsh visits the Boy Scouts from Troop 406. Zachary works on groundwater restoration at Fillmore Works, and he showed the scouts how the specialized equipment at the site functions. He also explained the details of the current groundwater cleanup process at the site. He also took time to explain how his Scouting experiences helped him prepare for his education and career as an engineer. Chevron Environmental Management Company and Fillmore Rentals helped make this tour possible.

November 19, 2015 Leslie Klinchuch from Chevron Corporation is shown with at the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley presenting the Club with a donation of $5,000 toward its after school STEM program. Chevron has been a dedicated supporter of this program since it began a few years ago. STEM Education is a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The group was joined by Boys & Girls Club CEO Jan Marholin and grant writer/Club supporter Marleen Canniff.

October 13, 2015 Martha Gentry from The Fillmore Historical Museum accepts a donation of $3,000.00 from Leslie Klinchuch representing Chevron Corporation. The donation will be used for the ongoing projects and programs of the Museum. The historic wagon wheel that is now part of the museum sign was found on the Fillmore Works property.

May 23, 2013 – Chevron recently shared the science of sports with the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley through its STEM Zone (science, technology, engineering, and math).  Students were bused from the Fillmore club to the Santa Paula club, ate pizza and got to take home a hat as a souvenir from their field trip.
